Water Sustainability
“When the well is dry, we know the value of water” – Benjamin Franklin
Water is the lifeblood of all things, and we must treat it as such. I have been appointed to represent the County Board of Supervisors on the Association of Water Agencies. On this board I can keep up to date with all things water and what each of the local water purveyors are doing.
We work very closely with our water purveyors to be sure that our residents will have the water they need for the future.
One of my district’s key goals is to establish a water desalination plant in the 4th District. With abundant groundwater resources, this project would be a valuable asset not only to the district but to the entire county. I have been a longtime advocate for the Moorpark Desalter Facility, working closely with public works to keep the project on track, address challenges, and secure necessary resources. Additionally, I will closely monitor county water projects to prioritize sustainability and ensure long-term resource resilience.
Who is My Water Provider?
The 4th District has four different water districts. Two of them are County run water districts, Water Works District 1 which services all of Moorpark and Water Works District 17 which services all of Bell Canyon along with Simi Valley run Waterworks District 8 and Golden State Water.
