Blood Drive hosted by Supervisor Janice Parvin in Moorpark
Ventura County Supervisor Janice Parvin’s 4th District is continuing the support and partnership with the American Red Cross by hosting an upcoming Blood Drive on Thursday February 9, 2023 in Moorpark. The theme of this first Blood Drive of 2023 is “The Battle of the Badges”, a friendly competition where First Responders are challenged to see which agency accounts for the most donations. The drive is open to the public, so come donate side-by-side with many of the heroic Sheriff and Fire personnel from around the county. A wonderful commemorative patriotic T-Shirt will be given to those who donate.
First Responders have answered the call to give Blood and everyone from Moorpark, Simi Valley and the surrounding areas are invited to join together to help save lives. The Blood Drive will take place on Thursday February 9, 2023 at Arroyo Vista Park in the Recreation Center’s Sycamore Room at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road in Moorpark from 1:00pm to 7:00pm. You are encouraged to make an appointment online at: www.RedCrossBlood.org then enter the code VCPARVIN in the “Find a Blood Drive” search box to be directed to the sign-up site.
This will be the first of the quarterly Blood Drives that Supervisor Parvin partners with the American Red Cross to have in her district. Did you know about 62% of the U.S. population is eligible to give blood, But, only about 3% does? By making an appointment to help save lives, donors can pump up the blood supply and keep it from falling to shortage levels. Look for future blood drives throughout the year as additional dates are confirmed.
