Temporary Food Facility Training Returns to Simi Valley

Simi Valley, CA — Due to community interest, the Ventura County Supervisor Janice Parvin is announcing the return of Temporary Food Facility (TFF) Training in Simi Valley. This in-person session will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rancho Simi Park & Recreation District Activity Center, located at 4201 Guardian Street, Simi Valley.

This training, offered through the County’s Resource Management Agency in partnership with 4th District Supervisor Janice Parvin, is designed for food vendors, nonprofit organizations selling food, community event organizers, and street fair vendors who are required to obtain or renew a TFF permit.

“This is a convenient, local opportunity for our residents and event organizers to receive the training they need without the drive to Ventura,” said Supervisor Parvin. “Bringing this training directly to Simi Valley and Moorpark reflects our commitment to supporting small businesses, nonprofits, and community events.”

The first TFF training session earlier this year was well attended and received positive feedback, prompting this second opportunity for those who missed it. The training covers food safety regulations, permit requirements, and best practices for operating temporary food booths in compliance with public health standards.

Space is limited and registration is required. To register, visit https://tinyurl.com/2wbt9snb.

For more information about the TFF program or future trainings, please contact the County of Ventura Environmental Health Division at (805) 654-2813 or visit www.ventura.org/rma.
